Description
An original early 1900s Art Nouveau era Gibson girl portrait pin with a festoon chain. This finely detailed brooch features a young woman with up-swept hair in repousse, as the ideal Gibson Girl. This is an original brooch of which many versions of this exact same image have been reproduced over the years. It is repousse brass base metal with a heavy silver plate. There are several antique ones listed for sale currently but none have the festoon chains link this one.
Condition: Very good condition with minute wear to the silver at the tip of the nose and chin. High magnification is needed to see.
Measurements: 2 1/4" in length by 2" in width.
