Description
A lady's gold filled watch chain that was worn to suspend a lady's pocket watch or locket. However these style of chains were called a number of names based on it's use such as Lorgnette chain, pocket watch chain and guard chain. This watch chain is a 3.8mm wide, with a loosely woven rope link chain. The swivel clasp that would hold a pocket watch can also be used to suspend a locket, fob, charm, etc. This looks to be from the very late 1800's to early 1900's range. The clasp is marked 1/20 12k GF.
Measurements: Measures 28" in length by 3.8mm in width not including the swivel clasp.
Condition: Very good condition with no noticeable wear to the chain and only minor wear to the clasp.
