Description
A lady's rose gold filled Victorian long watch guard chain that was worn as a safety chain for a lady's pocket watch. However these style of chains were called a number of names based on it's use such as Lorgnette chain, pocket watch chain, long guard chain and even a muff chain (although this style of chain is not one, many incorrectly use this term). This 52" long watch chain is a 1.85mm in diameter rope link chain. The original swivel clasp that would hold a pocket watch can also be used to suspend a locket, fob, charm, etc. The clasp is marked for the maker H.F. Harrows & Company of Attleboro Massachusetts.
Measurements: Measures 52" in length by 1.85mm in width with a 3/4" long clasp.
