Vintage sterling silver cherub screw back earrings. Cherubs are the first angels mentioned in the Bible and are said to stand next to the Throne of God. They have many different roles and are often cast as guardians in garden settings, surrounded with with their work of tending to nature, such as protecting the entrance of the Garden of Eden.
