Description
An Art Deco era sterling silver shield shaped locket. Both sides are high polished to a mirror finish, ready for engraving if one wishes to. The border is embossed with a running laurel wreath pattern along the edges of both sides. The locket opens vertically and has two 1920's - 1930's black and white photographs of two young ladies. The inside rim is stamped "Sterling and WC with an arrow" for E.G. Wester & Son in New York. There is a hinge at the base where a tassel was suspended but it is missing currently. I am looking for a tassel to restore but in the mean time am selling as is. The locket is suspended on a vintage style 18" fine long & short link chain.
Measurements: The locket section is 1 3/4" in length including bail by 1" on an 18" long chain.
Condition: Shows wear consistent with age. Typical surface scratches that occur during normal wear.
