Description
Here’s a vintage mid-20th century sterling silver bracelet featuring an 18.5mm wide hollow-formed oval link design by Danecraft. I’ve come across several of these same style hollow formed link bracelets and necklaces in various widths, but they were all unmarked. This is the first one I’ve found that’s signed, and it’s by Danecraft, which is no surprise given the quality and popularity of this design in the market. If you’re on the lookout for a classic Retro/Modernist style to go with your other jewelry, this piece will be a fantastic match. This bracelet has a unique touch with the sterling family crest charm dangling from it. The coat of arms belongs to John Hancock and commemorates his 100th anniversary in 1962. So, it’s a signed Danecraft piece that also has a detail giving it a specific date. The bracelet fastens with a fold-over clasp that’s stamped Danecraft and Sterling. Plus, the little red enameled heraldic charm is also marked sterling and LGB for the maker.
