Description
A traditional antique Scottish cairngorm thistle flower brooch. This little pin features a large approximately 10.0ct smoky quartz gemstone that was mined from the Cairngorm mountain region of Scotland. It is stamped 'silver' on the back. The hinge is the old tube style with the original clasp being replaced with a safety style clasp. Based on the hinge design this brooch is early 1900's range.
Measurements: Measuring 32.45mm in length by 17.11mm in width.
Condition: Some wear and abrasion to the gemstone. The rollover locking part of the clasp is missing currently.
