Description
You can't help but find good luck with this sweet little Victorian era shamrock flower brooch. It is hand crafted repousse work from a thin sheet of silver forming the flower petals. Around the edges of the flower and shamrocks are stamped star shaped rosettes in the fashion of Charles Horner 's work. These repousse star rosettes are also known as ' pastry icing '. There is no mark but tests sterling silver. Estimated to be late 1800's to turn of the 20th century. The pin is secured by with a c-clasp and tube hinge.
Measurements: Measures 1 3/4" in length by 7/8" at the widest point.
Condition: Good with the tips of two points on the flower petals broken off. This does not detract as the flower petals all have serrated edges.
