Description: An antique designed sterling silver Great Seal ring. The design first used in 1782 which is rich in symbolism. A scroll in the Eagle's beak has the motto E Pluribus Unum (Out of Many, One). The shield without any other supporters denotes that the United States of America to rely on their own Virtue and the 13 stripes represented the original 13 states. In the Bald Eagle's stronger right talon is an olive branch called "the power of peace." In its left talon, the power of war symbolized by the bundle of 13 arrows.
These rings are made with the original hand engraved dies, also known as 'hubs', from a collection dating back from the 1800's to early 1900's. They are not mass produced and are cast to order making these rings a very unique, personal and one of a kind gift. The rings are made to appear exactly as their authentic counterparts did a century ago.
A choice of 2 finishes are available: high polished or antiqued (oxidized) finish.
- High polished, has shiny reflective surface.
- Antiqued, oxidized and tarnished in the recessed areas. High polish on the raised surfaces, has a darker overall finish.
Measurements: Stock ring size is 12 1/2. Measuring 5/8" wide.
Shipping: Stock size 12 1/2 ships in approx. 1 to 3 days. Resizing will add an additional week to shipment.
