Description
Antique and vintage Czechoslovakian aqua colored moonstone glass cabochon from a warehouse buyout of old stock from between the late 1920s - 1940s. Found in their original packaging. Sold individually by the piece or per dozen.
(18x12x8.7mm) 18mm in length by 13mm in width by 8.7mm in total depth with a medium aqua blue colored opaque glass with a rippled or puckered surface. These are very unusual cabochons from the 1920s and 1930s that are considered art glass with a moonstone effect. The top surface is rippled or puckered much like a raisin and the bottoms are concave. There may be slight variations in size and imperfections in the glass. This is due to each one being individually hand cut after being press molded.
Czech antique vintage molded art glass stones have a rich aquamarine color with the billowy glow of the moonstone effect which is similar to moon glow. These were made for export to produce high quality fine jewelry. Made in the famous Gablonz area of Czechoslovakia, these antique glass stones represent the some of the finest work from the Czech glass makers.
