Description
Vintage Western Germany turquoise colored blue glass rose cut cabochon from a warehouse buyout of old stock from between the late 1950s - 1970s. Found in their original packaging. Sold individually by the piece or per dozen.
Each imitation Persian turquoise measures 11.0mm in diameter by 5.4mm in heigh. These are classified as a faceted cabochon with a flat bottom with a faceted dome top. There may be slight variations in size and imperfections in the glass. This is due to each one being individually hand made.
The West German glass industry existed from 1949 to 1990. Production peaked particularly after WWII through the 1950s and 1960's but continued on until Germany was reunited.
